Jesse & Leah {A Celebration}

We drove to Wichita on Wednesday afternoon to see my little sister graduate and we stayed until Monday evening. It was a wonderful weekend filled with so much laughter and good friends. It was a great way to get a “vacation” but not have to go that far.

As I mentioned before, Mike and I headed out to camp this weekend to enjoy our two friends’ wedding, Jesse & Leah. The wedding was stunning. It was the perfect combination of the two and we were so blessed to be a part of it.

I was able to take a few photos at the wedding. I love the way they turned out but I’m thinking I need to go get my lens cleaned. Some of them turned up really grainy – but beautiful nonetheless.

The wedding was so simple but I think the simplicity made it even more beautiful. These two sure know how to seek the Lord and his will. I cannot wait to see where the Lord takes them.

After the wedding we enjoyed an old fashioned party with some D to the licious food and great friends.

After we took pictures we celebrated at Studio 96 in Sterling. Julie did a great job setting up his table and getting all his pictures and awards together. It has been so fun celebrating Jake and this new and exciting time in his life.

Jacob Dean {Graduation}

When Mike and I got married I gained two wonderful and loving brothers. One of them graduated from Sterling High School on Thursday. He graduated as valedictorian with honors and he was in National Honor Society. It has been so fun having two family members graduating high school in the same year ( a little hectic, but fun).

IMG_6431 IMG_6437 IMG_6445 IMG_6477 IMG_6487 IMG_6503Jake has quite the personality and he decided that instead of taking the “average” senior pictures he wanted to take pictures with things that he wasn’t remotely related to or interested in. For example, army hats, plungers, boats, scuba suits, and motorcycles. I encouraged some “real” senior pictures for his momma so I’ll share some of those too.

Mike and I are both very excited that Jake is staying in Sterling to play basketball and study ministry at Sterling College. Also, he did such a great job on his speech and drum solo at graduation.
