Jaderston Baby: 21 Weeks!

Dec 10, 2015 /

IMG_5909

How far along: 21 weeks!

How big is baby: About the size of a pomegranate… 10.5 inches long and weighs 12.7 oz…

Gender: It’s a BOY! Come back tomorrow to see the full gender reveal – but we are just elated!

Movement: Baby is definitely moving but I still cannot feel it consistently and not with a lot of confidence. When I was at Target last weekend I had a bag of frozen fruit laying on my belly and I felt baby definitely kick – hard. It was the first kick that I knew was a kick with confidence. Nothing since. Baby just likes to keep me guessing.

Sleep: Still sleeping great! Thanks to my 1/4 sleeping pill and vitamin B6 combination. Having a harder time getting comfortable and rolling over is no joke when mixed with pelvic pain but still sleeping and I’m grateful for that.

Symptoms: Lots of pelvic pain and lower back pain. I’m also still very congested first thing in the morning. I am starving often, but can only eat small portions or I feel like I might implode. Oh joy.

Cravings/Aversions: Chicken = blegh. Loving fresh fruits and veggies, pickles, iced tea, and cold water. I also am experiencing weird tongue reactions to foods with sugar in them. My tongue tastes weird afterward and I can’t get rid of it for hours. It’s annoying.

Maternity clothes: Mixing maternity and regular. I have two pairs of leggings that are comfortable (aka not too tight on my stomach) and those are the only “pants” I’m wearing until my Old Navy order arrives on Friday. Praying my new jeans fit comfortably.

Workouts: Pelvic pain makes moving around/walking around/being on my feet nearly impossible.

Nursery: No progress, but we did think about registering last weekend. We didn’t actually register, but it’s the thought that counts, yes?

Missing anything: Being active. Pelvic pain is no joke and very annoying.

Looking forward to most: My work Christmas party this weekend and then the weekend with Mike!

Worries/Concerns: None! Constantly praying for less pelvic pain but I am learning that this is just part of the pregnancy package.

Jaderston Baby: 20 Weeks!

How far along: 20 weeks!

How big is baby: About the size of a banana… 6.5 inches long and weighs 10.2 oz…

Gender: We find out this week and are having a little gender reveal for our friends and family on Sunday. SO EXCITED!

Movement: Baby is definitely moving but I still cannot feel it consistently and not with a lot of confidence.

Sleep: Still sleeping great! Thanks to my 1/4 sleeping pill and vitamin B6 combination. I have had a few nights where it has taken longer for me to get comfortable and actually fall asleep but once I’m sleeping, I stay sleeping.

Symptoms: Still lots of pelvic pain and lower back pain. I’ve started turning our heated blanket on high and just sitting on it for 20 minutes at a time. I am still fighting a cold – same one from last week I hope – combined with pregnancy congestion. It’s not pretty when I wake up. I definitely have a bigger appetite and find myself hungry all. the. time.

Cravings/Aversions: Chicken = blegh. I find myself choosing vegetarian options all the time. Red meat I can still handle. Still loving fresh fruit and veggies (carrots!). I am not eating fruit as often because the sweetness makes my mouth taste real weird afterwards – it drives me crazy.

Maternity clothes: Still in my regular clothes but ordered some maternity leggings on black Friday. I am also looking to order some maternity jeans soon but I need recommendations.

Workouts: Not so much. I started adding squats here or there throughout the day to try to get back into it. But no regular workouts because of the pelvic pain.

Nursery: No progress this week but I did clean off my desk!

Missing anything: Nope!

Looking forward to most: Gender reveal this weekend! Can’t wait to see all our friends and family and for them to find out the gender with us!

Worries/Concerns: Halfway there! No worries or concerns – praise God! I am looking forward to my next Dr. appointment though – starting my list of questions now.

Jaderston Baby: 19 Weeks!

How far along: 19 weeks!

How big is baby: About the size of a mango… 6.0 inches long and weighs 8.5 oz…

Gender: We will be finding out next week at our sonogram! So excited!

Movement: Baby is definitely moving around but I am not feeling it often. Occasionally I think that maybe (???) I feel it? Clearly not with a lot of confidence.

Sleep: Still sleeping great! Thanks to my 1/4 sleeping pill and vitamin B6 combination.

Symptoms: I have had lots of pain this week. Pelvic pain to be more precise. I guess since baby is still tucked in there and growing quickly.. there just isn’t enough room and ouch! It makes walking difficult at times but it’s worst when I go from sitting to standing. I’d take this over throwing up though (which only happened once this week)! I caught a cold over the weekend too which has masked any other symptoms I’m having I think.

Cravings/Aversions: Still hating chicken but can eat most other meat. I am loving carrots, potatoes, apples, mangos, pears, clementines and any other fresh fruits that go on sale at the store. I could live on cold fruit and french fries. Not kidding.

Maternity clothes: Still in my regular clothes but my jeans are getting tighter and I’m more comfortable in sweat pants or leggings but that is always the case. I might order some maternity jeans on black Friday/cyber Monday if I find a good deal.

Workouts: Still no. Not much activity for me with the pelvic pain but I did put up the christmas tree last night by myself and I think that’s enough activity for the next few weeks.

Nursery: No progress this week.

Mike: He’s doing great! Work and tennis are keeping him busy but that doesn’t stop him from taking care of me when I’m hurting or not feeling well. He’s the sweetest – constantly asking me if I need anything or if I wanna take more tylenol for the pain. Love him so much.

Missing anything: Nope!

Looking forward to most: Thanksgiving food and a sonogram next week!

Worries/Concerns: I am a little concerned about the pelvic pain but I know it’s just part of it. We’re almost halfway there!
