Our Trip to Minnesota
Well, we are home! We had a great few days up north and we got to see {almost} everyone we love up there. It was a great weekend of sun, laughter, grilling, and catching up with family. I shared our drive up on Friday morning in photos and today I will share the rest of the trip in photos.
On Friday morning we woke up early(ish) and went shopping. There were a ton of great Memorial Day deals so we came home with lots of fun things and spent very little. That’s my favorite type of shopping. Then on Friday night we went out to a fun Mexican dinner with our cousins Dan and Michelle which was followed by a night sitting by the fire and watching the pups play. It should be noted that they have a St. Bernard and a puppy Newfoundland. They are great big dogs and Alfie loves playing with them.
On Saturday morning we headed even further up north to Mike’s aunts’ cabin. It was a day at the lake! Mike got to fish and jetski and I got to lay on the beach and hold babies all day. It was the perfect day.
Two of Mike’s cousins have had littles in the last year and it was bound to be time for me to hold each of them. They’re both just the sweetest and I already miss them. Mike also had a blast tubing in the freezing cold water.
On Sunday we visited both sets of Mike’s grandparents. One set lives in Minnesota and the other lives in Wisconsin but they were coincidentally camping just 20 minutes north of where we were staying. We had lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Pierce and Dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Jaderston. Mike also got to fish in the evening before dinner. He was in Minnesota heaven.
And that’s all folks! We drove home on Monday and made it in record time – thank the Lord. Being in the car for that long is exhausting. This week we are just getting back into the groove and keeping up with work.
