Recovery

I have spent the last five weeks battling a sickness. It started out as a cold, turned into a virus, and finally resulted in bronchitis. I coughed nonstop for about two weeks of the five. I tried all cough medicine – I even had a prescription cough medicine at one point but it made me too tired to function so I had to stop taking it. So you’re probably wondering at this point why I’m telling you this? Well, it’s because today is the first day in five weeks where I have felt like myself. I am still a little bit congested but I feel like myself.

It’s a really good feeling. I was able to work through the whole day and come home not desiring a nap or a serious amount of time lounging (although I’m probably spending a serious amount of time lounging anyways – come on, guys – It’s Friday!) but I feel good. Yay!

Anyways, recovery feels so good – especially when five weeks seems to go by incredibly slow. Now I need to pray that in these next five school days that the little precious germy children don’t make me sick again. No one likes to be sick on their birthday.

Mike and I are hoping to spend this evening relaxing since he is in the midst of finals. Maybe dinner and a movie. We have lots to celebrate – 5 months into a marriage is a big party if you ask me. 🙂

Bye for now,
