It was a wonderful gift to have my whole family together on my birthday. My oldest sister hadn’t been home since Mike and I’s wedding so having her meet us in Arizona meant a lot to everyone, especially my parents.
Like I said before we went golfing at a very nice golf course in the morning and had a relaxing afternoon at home. My husband and I went shopping for a little while and we came home with an iPhone 5!
Thanks, Mike! I really do love it – it’s quite an upgrade
Then we came back and opened up more presents and cards. I got an Erin Condren Life Planner… and I’m obsessed already.
This planner is da bomb – Thanks Bets for the tip in the right direction. If you are looking for a great planner to keep your life all in one place this is the planner for YOU! (and it’s customized to your wishes)
I also got a new lens for my camera. I have a Canon EOS Rebel T3 with the traditional lens and a telephoto lens. I really enjoy taking pictures – not sure if that will ever go anywhere but it’s super fun to capture life moments with a nice camera. So for this birthday I decided to expand my lens choices. After doing lots of research I decided that a standard 50mm f/1.8 lens would be fun and it really is (even after two days of using it). I should add that I know nothing about lenses besides the little research I have done to choose this one. I am by no means a professional – or even a hobbyist.
We had Red Robin for dinner and my mom made a pumpkin dessert that was delicious. Needless to say, it was a fabulous birthday. It doesn’t feel great to be two years older than my husband, but only 28 more days and he’ll be just one year younger. I’m already looking forward to that time.
Thanks for reading these silly posts. I love getting these things written down.
See you soon!
