February Savings Challenge
Guys, good news. I have officially requested for my name change with social security! It only took me two and a half years (which unfortunately makes it more difficult) and two trips to the social security office.. Womp.
My advice to anyone who is recently married and wanting to change their name… Mail in your application with your certified marriage license BEFORE you’ve been married for two years.
Okay, now that I got that off my chest….
February Savings Challenge
We want to go on some adventures this year. Bigger than usual adventures. The ones that cost more money than we typically spend on adventures. We’re excited, but we really don’t want these adventures to hurt our savings account so we are going to challenge ourselves to saving in February.
The challenge is this: save save save in February. Eat in. Meal plan. No fun shopping. Brainstorm fun, cheap date-nights. Etc. Etc.
At the end of the month you will have saved X amount of money. We are splitting our X amount 50/50. Half will go to our savings account and the other half will go towards our adventure!
Wanna join in on the fun? YOU SHOULD – February is such a short month! It’s going to go by so fast and hopefully our hard work will pay off.

Good for you guys! We are living this way out of necessity right now due to finances and baby coming, so I totally get it. You can do it!
Wanted to give you a cheap date tip: If you aren’t already signed up for Red-box’s email list, you totally should! Phil recently signed up and we have received 3 promo codes for free movies in the last three weeks! Redbox at home with popcorn and homemade dinner is our date-night go to 🙂 It’s cheap already, but now it’s free! Every little dollar counts, right?

I’m excited! We already live on a budget, but I probably wouldn’t say we keep it very tight haha. That’s a great idea for date night though. I will make sure Mike is signed up for that. 🙂 We miss you too!
